Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
How many people do you have in your league?
We have about 60 people in the league, with anywhere from 48-60 people golfing each week.
When does registration start?
Registration materials are available mid-March.
How do I get the registration materials?
You may send an email to us from "Contact Us" tab on this website, or email [email protected].
What if I want to join after the deadline?
If there is room, we are able to take new members after the deadline.
What if I go on vacation, or can't golf on some days? Do I have to find a sub?
Twice each season, we sign up (and pay upfront) for the days we know we will be available to golf. You only pay for the days you are available, and you never need to find a sub.
What if there is a rainout?
Baker determines rainouts. If the weather is severe (i.e. thunderstorms, hard rain), a rainout will be called. We will not call one for mild rain. If a rainout is called, Baker will issue rainchecks. If we do not call a rainout, and you choose not to golf, you will forfeit your pre-paid greens fee for that day.
How do you sign up for tee times?
After we know who will be golfing each week, Baker assigns us a contiguous block of tee times (starting around 7:09 am and ending around 9:00 am, depending on our needs). During the registration process, you will state your tee time preferences and will then be assigned tee times.
Do we have the same tee times each week?
Not necessarily. Your preferences will be arranged by the Leauge Tee time coordinator volunteer.
Can you choose your own foursome? Do you always golf with the same people?
Some people choose to golf with the same people each week, but others want to meet new people. If you wish to golf with specific people, coordinate with the other players in your group and the Tee time coordinator.
What is the level of play? Am I good enough?
If you are comfortable golfing on a regulation golf course, you'll be fine! We have players of all levels, and our main objectives are to get outside, play golf, and have fun. The only criteria for success in our league is that you keep pace with the other players to play a 9-hole round in 2 hours 10 minutes.
Do you play the front or the back nine?
We play both the front and the back nine, not necessarily equally. Baker makes the assignment, and we find out on the day we golf.
